Coolangatta is Queensland's oldest coastal beachside holiday destination. The southern extremity of the Gold Coast and the border with Northern New South Wales lie within the boundaries of Coolangatta. Tweed Heads adjoins it to the south and Coolangatta is 100kms south of Brisbane and 900kms north of Sydney. Coolangatta and the southern Gold Coast are the most popular family holiday destinations in south east Queensland.
