It is the only skiing destination in Australia that you can fly to direct and is unique as a ski field as the accommodation here is all located at the top of the ski slopes so you can watch the action from your apartment. Mount Hotham has wonderful accommodation, a great selection of restaurants and diners and a fantastic apres ski ambience. For the skier, there are a multitude of ski lifts, snow making machines, ski patrol and first aid station. Both Mt Hotham and nearby Falls Creek, provide some of the best skiing in Australia.
