About this tour
A 12-hour loop from Perth that hits the Margaret River region's main draws without the rushing. You'll ride the Busselton Jetty train, explore Ngilgi Cave's limestone chambers beneath Cape Naturaliste, and sample local wines and beers at their source. The pace lets you linger at each stop rather than tick boxes, with time to taste what the region produces. An air-conditioned vehicle handles the 3+ hours of driving either side.
Highlights
- Busselton Jetty train ride through coastal waters
- Ngilgi Cave limestone formations and underground passages
- Wine and beer tastings at local producers
- Local artisan produce sampling
- Cape Naturaliste coastal views
- Geographe Bay region exploration
What to expect
You'll depart Perth early and spend the bulk of the day in the Margaret River wine region. The Busselton Jetty stretch sits over shallow bay water—bring sunscreen. Ngilgi Cave involves descending and climbing numerous stairs through cool, damp passages; wear proper walking shoes. Wine tastings happen at cellar doors (18+ only). The vehicle is comfortable but you're in a seat for several hours total. Lunch isn't included, though you'll pass spots to grab food. Return to Perth by late evening.
Good to know
Pickup times shift seasonally—check your confirmation the day before. Children must be 8+. If the cave tour doesn't fill, you'll switch to the chocolate factory option with a partial refund. Not suitable if you have spinal issues, are pregnant, or have cardiovascular concerns. Bring water; one bottle is provided.
