What to expect
You'll travel in a comfortable minibus with around a dozen others and a guide who knows the region well. The day starts with morning tea before heading into rainforest country. Stops are spaced out so you're not rushing—you'll have time to swim at Millaa Millaa, walk around the volcanic lake and its remarkable fig tree, and spend a good stretch at Paronella Park learning its history. Lunch breaks at a local restaurant. Commentary throughout is in English only, though guides can speak Chinese or Japanese during the Paronella Park portion. The pace suits all fitness levels.
