What to expect

Your day starts with a flight from Whitsunday Airport (8 minutes from Airlie Beach town centre). You'll get unobstructed views through large windows as the pilot points out the archipelago's geography, coral formations and island landmarks. After landing, you'll transfer to the ocean raft for the remainder of the day. The raft ride to Whitehaven Beach is purposefully quick and energetic. Once there, you'll swim, explore Hill Inlet's tidal patterns, and walk designated park trails. Snorkelling happens at shallow inner reefs where visibility is typically good. The Northern Exposure itinerary weights toward reef time; Southern Lights prioritises beach time. Expect a full schedule with minimal downtime.

Good to know

Weight limits apply (maximum 120 kg per seat); you'll be weighed before boarding. Bring swimmers, towel, hat, waterproof camera case and cash for drinks and snacks. Not suitable if pregnant, immobilised by spinal issues, or with cardiovascular concerns. Winter jacket recommended for wind exposure.
