What to expect
You'll arrive at the airport 30 minutes early for check-in and a safety briefing covering body position, breathing and what happens during freefall. Your instructor walks you through the gear and answer questions. Once airborne, the climb to altitude takes about 10 minutes. At jump time, the door opens and you're out—60 seconds of pure freefall before the parachute deploys. Then it's a peaceful 5–7 minute descent with views across the coast before a controlled landing on the beach.
