What to expect
You'll board at 8:40am and head out to the outer reef zone where water depth and visibility typically exceed inner-reef conditions. After a briefing from your guide, you'll enter the water in stages, spending concentrated time observing coral formations and fish behaviour. The boat stays anchored to one spot rather than touring multiple sites. Between water sessions, rinse off with fresh hot showers and grab a hot drink. Intro divers complete their certification briefing and confined-water work onboard before entering open water alongside snorkellers.
Good to know
Minimum age is four years. You must wait 24 hours after diving before flying or ascending to altitude—Queensland law. Complete a health questionnaire beforehand; some medical conditions restrict diving. Pre-book intro dives well ahead to ensure gear and staff availability. A fuel surcharge may apply and is collected by payment link before departure.
