What to expect
Your day begins with a pick-up and introduction to your guide, who steers the group toward small producers rather than big commercial estates. You'll stop at three to four venues, spending 45 minutes to an hour at each. At each cellar door or distillery, you'll taste four to six wines or spirits and learn directly from the makers. Mid-morning, you'll pause at a cheese dairy or chocolate shop for samples and a sit-down tasting. Around midday, the group heads to a local brewhouse where you order and pay for your own meal—vegan, vegetarian, and most other dietary needs are accommodated. The return journey includes a final stop or relaxed drive back through the valley.
