What to expect

You'll start with a hotel collection in Cairns before heading north to Kuranda. The day splits across three main zones: the Rainforestation's amphibious vehicle tour takes you into thick jungle where a driver navigates waterways and steep terrain; the wildlife park lets you interact with koalas, cassowaries, and other native creatures; the Pamagirri section offers genuine cultural exchange—learning about bush tucker, traditional tools, and stories from Indigenous guides. Between activities there's time to wander, but the pace is fairly structured. Bring water and wear sturdy shoes; the rainforest stays humid and occasionally muddy.

Food and drinks aren't included, so grab lunch in Kuranda or bring snacks. Souvenir photos can be purchased separately. The tour runs rain or shine—dress for tropical downpours. Not available from Port Douglas or Northern Beaches areas. Infants sit on laps; prams are allowed.
