What to expect

You'll start at the Artillery Museum to wander exhibits of tanks and weaponry across several hours. Then transfer to the Skyrail station for a leisurely cable-car journey suspended above rainforest, descending twice to stretch legs and absorb the canopy. Kuranda village follows—a few hours to browse craft stalls, local shops, and eat independently. Finally, board the Scenic Railway for a relaxed ride back to Cairns, taking in gorge walls and distant ocean views as you wind downhill. Pacing is steady throughout; no strenuous walking required.

Good to know

All food and drinks in Kuranda are at your expense. Additional paid attractions (Birdworld, Butterfly Sanctuary, Koala Gardens) are nearby but not included. Infants sit on laps; prams are welcome.
