What to expect

You'll walk 3 minutes from the car park to the lighthouse base, then climb a strenuous interior staircase to the top—the real physical challenge here. Staff are stationed at bottom and top to answer questions or assist. The tower itself is narrow in places; take your time. Once you reach the lamp room, the payoff is genuine: unobstructed water, sky, and distant coastline in every direction. Expect 20–30 minutes total; you set the pace.
