About this tour
Taste six wines blind at Tulloch, a Hunter Valley institution spanning 125 years of winemaking. This seated tasting pairs each pour with a spread of local cheese, cured meats, olives and crackers, guided by the family's accumulated knowledge. You'll take home tasting notes to decode what you've drunk. The hour works equally well for serious drinkers and non-drinkers—teens and abstainers get kombucha and the same charcuterie board instead.

What to expect
You'll sit at a table while wines arrive unmarked. The tasting notes booklet gives clues—colour, aroma, flavour profile—but the reveal happens afterwards. Between pours, graze on the board: aged cheddar, house-made terrine, quality salami, brined olives, crackers and relish. The pacing is unhurried; staff won't rush you through. If you're with teenagers, they run their own kombucha tasting using the same tasting framework, so everyone's doing something active rather than watching.
Good to know
Minimum age 18 for wine tasting. Non-drinkers and under-18s have equivalent experiences included. Not suitable if pregnant. Bring your own transport; the venue doesn't provide pickups. Prams welcome, and all areas are accessible for wheelchairs. Arrive early if you're decoding the wines—you'll want time to sit with each glass.
